North, South, East and West Coast Wanderer

If you read my post "You want to Know Something", you know that we are from Colorado and that we now live in North Carolina. So we are west coasters, coasting in the east! When we saw this food truck, West Coast Wanderer, we knew we had to try it. The west coast has a different feel for food than the east coast, so we are partial to their cooking lol!

Now first of all, look at that truck! It is so fun, vibrant and engaging! Do you notice the Colorado license plate on the door!? Apparently the owner used to live in CO for like a decade and her daughter and my daughter are the same age...I don't know if it's just me but I get excited about things like that because it brings a sense of connection and it's a small world after all!

It doesn't look like their menu changes, so they know what's good and what people like! It is a little bit of a smaller food truck menu, but that's ok because these guys have their food down pat!

The first thing we ordered was the Spinach Flatbread (pictured above).....OMG! SO GOOD! We bought a second one after we finished the first! Lets mention the specifics....the flat bread is crunchy, which we were not expecting at all. It was not like a chip type crunchy...it still had some soft bite to it so you know it was not sitting out because it tasted fresh. The mushrooms were for sure fresh...you know how I know? They didn't taste like rubber nothing crap from a can! I'm not for sure but I would guess the roasted tomatoes were from a can and the spinach was fresh.....I love fresh ingredients because it brings the taste up a notch! It was not overly cheesy either (I know some people really like extra cheese but I have trouble swallowing too much cheese so this was perfect). I am sure if you want extra cheese they would add it but, it is also topped with cheese crumbles. Everyone (minus my picky son, which is my husbands fault) loved this flatbread!

The next things ordered was chicken tacos. I think there is some sort of secret ingredient in these tacos because when you take a bit, you're like hmm, what is that?! But, it tastes so good so you keep eating...then you order more to take home with you! All the ingredients were fresh. The pico on top was excellent, it was not dripping in sour cream or juice water (you know when you go to take a bit and all this juice starts dripping on your hand that eventually makes everything soggy)! It wasn't soggy because we had it for left overs the next day! One thing I will say, I do wish the tacos came with some chips and salsa on the side.

The day the food truck came, there were lots of other food trucks in our town so we only tried those 2 items but their whole menu looks amazing. Next time we will definitely try the other items!

Customer service wise, they were very friendly and that's how we found out where they were from. We enjoyed the vibe they had and their quick service. I do wish more than 2 tacos came in the order and that the spinach flatbread was bigger....but that's just because I am being selfish and want more of their goodness! My husband talked about their food for the rest of the day...when he finds something good, he does not shut up! #foodtruckmania

I would definitely encourage you to go follow them on their Facebook page. They post where they will be so you can go check them out! https://www.facebook.com/westcoastwandererllc/?ref=page_internal
